魯福生於演藝世家，父為著名甘草演員，福從小耳濡目染，對演藝界充滿憧憬，但他生性硬頸，屢次拒絕父親安排的機會，堅持入讀APA，要學習正統的戲劇訓練，但其父覺得娛樂圈最重要的關係，父子二人產生分歧，福也從來沒有在外人面前提及自己的背景。福在演藝學院畢業數年，滿腔熱誠投入演藝工作，可惜星途暗淡，究其外貌與現今流行的小鮮肉外型格格不入，故只有行行企企的閒角找他演出，但福對每一個機會都非常珍惜，敬業樂業。追尋理想也要顧及生計，所以福也成立了一間臨時演員公司，以作糊口，他相信只要有恆心，機會總會來臨。在某次做老臨的場合中，福重遇了他的師妹芝芝，芝芝為富家女，入讀演藝學院原因，全因為愛情，因為她與當紅小鮮肉其實是一對小情人。為了和情人有共同的語言，所以學戲，她的夢想是和小鮮肉同台演出，所以加入了福的臨時演員公司，累積演出經驗，爭取演出機會，希望有一天願望成真。
