衍生节目《是好朋友的日记·露营vlog》延续了正片《是好朋友的周末》节目中的未播内容，解锁了五组好朋友们在正片之外的新内容，记录了嘉宾们在烟火气里的真感情。节目以露营度假为载体，向观众展现了“明星”光环下嘉宾们的真生活，真友谊。他们在海边露营扎寨，品尝当地美食，逃离城市灯火，和好朋友乘着风与大自然独处，三天两晚的“微旅行”记录，展现了当代年轻人的生活方式和生活态度，碰撞出独属于好朋友之间的火花。
